Kate currently lives in NW Arkansas with her husband, Lyle.  Kate graduated with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, in 1990 and received her Master’s in Social Work from UALR in 1992.  She received her LCSW in 1994.

Kate worked at the Community Mental Health Center, Ozark Guidance, from 1990-2001, and served as the primary therapist for the United Methodist Boys & Girls Homes in NW Arkansas from 1996-2003.  In addition, Kate has provided counseling at Havenwood, in Bentonville, Arkansas, a transitional living program for single parents, since 2001.

In 2004, Kate and Lyle moved to SW Missouri where she briefly worked at Burrell Behavioral Center as the Assistant Director of Children’s Services, then she worked in private practice as Primary Therapist and Program Director for Gateways Group Home for Girls from 2007-2011.  Since 2011, Kate continues to serve as therapist for Gateways, in addition to providing therapy in private practice. 

Kate began providing group therapy for GRIP Home for Boys in 2012, in addition to individual and family therapy for the Family Focus Program for GRIP.  Kate and Lyle relocated back to Arkansas in 2013, however Kate continues to provide group therapy and therapy for the Family Focus Program through GRIP.  She specializes in individual, family and group therapy for adolescents and their families.
